We are recruiting for a self-employed bookkeeper to work for our charity for 2 hours a week. This is a hybrid role based in Croughton, with some work from home acceptable.
About Equilore
Equilore is a charitable organisation founded in 2017 with the vision to support people with their mental health who got stuck in the traditional system of support. Equilore became a registered charity in 2020 (registration 1190998).
Based on the Oxfordshire/Northamptonshire border, we provide psychotherapy, counselling, and coaching through equine facilitated learning (EFL) and psychotherapy (EFP) to young people and adults, both individually and in small groups.

Role Overview
This is a self employed hybrid role for 2 hours a week as a Charity Bookkeeper located in Croughton, with some work from home acceptable.
The Charity Bookkeeper will be responsible for general bookkeeping activities such as:
- raising invoices and following up on payments (Cliniko)
- donation processing (STRIPE)
- database maintenance (Excel)
- reconciling and producing finance reports on XERO
- assisting with budget management to support the financial health of the organisation.
The role would suit someone looking for a role that can fit around other responsibilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and deepen your understanding of fundraising and charity work, be involved in maintaining excellent client and supporter relationships whilst working within a supportive and professional team.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Administration:
- Sending monthly finance reports to the Chair of Trustees and Founding Director
- Consolidate invoices for clients, follow up on payments and reconcile in the finance system, Xero
- Processing receipts through and invoices through Hubdoc
- Carry out basic bookkeeping tasks on an ongoing basis to ensure the charity’s accounts are in good order and in readiness for end-of-year accounts
- Keeping our funding spreadsheet for The National Lottery Funding up to date
- Track and chase deadlines for tasks required by The Charity Commission and accountants.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Essential Requirements
Education, Qualifications & Training:
- Experience in accounting/ bookkeeping systems (i.e. Xero, Hubdoc, Stripe)
- Experience in administrative systems (i.e. Cliniko etc)
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and similar applications
Experience:
- At least 1 year experience working in an administration role
- To have recent experience with documenting and logging information, and record keeping
