Working with horses provides an alternative way to help process and make sense of what we are going through. No previous experience with horses necessary and there is no riding involved.
The sessions are run by a highly trained and experienced practitioner who is a chartered Psychologist with a MSc in Neuropsychology, PhD in Clinical Neuroscience and a Diploma in Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy.
We work with the horses from the ground (i.e. no riding) on principles of mindfulness and acceptance, but will also run skills-based sessions addressing assertivess, focus, taking responsibility, empathy, calmness (yes calmness is a skill!), planning, communication and engagement. We provide a safe and profesional service where people can grow and enhance their self-awareness, confidence, emotional wellbeing and acquire new skills.
