Support us

Equilore is a charity (Registered Charity Number: 1190998) and therefore we rely on grants, public funding and donations to ensure we can continue to offer sessions to those who need it most, enable us to look after our team of horses and keep up with running costs for our premises.

We have been fortunate to benefit from grants which have enabled us to;

  • offer subsidised therapy sessions to those who may not be able to afford it otherwise
  • allowed us to take on part time groom support to look after the horses
  • enabled us to put down new mud mats for the horses so we can use the land all year round
  • pay for one year’s livery for all the horses on two sites in 2021
  • enable us to keep Gerry as part of the herd and pay for his upkeep for a year in 2019

How you can help

Corporate Sponsorship

If you are a local business in Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire or Buckinghamshire and you’re looking for a charity to support, please get in touch as we’d love to talk to you more about the opportunities for collaboration.

Fundraise for us

Whether you’re planning your next 100km cycle, want to do a sponsored swim or a coffee morning/cake sale, we’d love for you to pick Equilore as your charity of choice.

Please get in touch if you’re interested in fundraising for us so we can talk about how we can support you. We’d love to be able to give you a mention on our website and social media platforms.

Donations

We are always open to donations of supplies for the horses but please do get in touch first to see what would be most helpful.

Things on our list at the moment include:

For the client sessions

  • Outdoor furniture for clients to use
  • Session equipment – pedestal, bridge
  • Spare wellies and coats for clients
  • Grooming kits for clients
  • Notebooks for client reflections, arts and crafts supplies, Polaroid camera for capturing memories and a laminator to keep photos safe

For the horses and around the yard

  • Rugs for the horses
  • Big wheelbarrow
  • Fluorescent exercise sheets with logos
  • Specialised lead ropes
  • Donations towards hay, feed, bedding, farrier, dentist, vet and other horse bills

We’re also looking for…

As well as fundraising and donations, we’re also keen to speak to professionals in social care and mental health organisations, GPs and medical practitioners and schools to see how we can support their clients and students.

We’re also looking for links with universities who have Masters and PhD students interested in researching equine facilitated psychotherapy.

If that’s you, or you can recommend someone, please get in touch or connect with Loes on LinkedIn to introduce yourself.
